Changes to my study program

    Before starting this post, it's important to mention that I am only studying my second semester of Dentistry, so I can only give my opinion on the subjects and academic load that I have taken.

    I have to say that I really like the Dentistry curriculum, I consider that all the subjects there are, are necessary to train a good professional. I completely agree with the duration of the degree and the UTE's that are taught.

    However, I have a disagreement with the number of credits that each UTE has, for example,with histology in the first semester, since it only has 3 credits, while anatomy has 6. I think that histology is a UTE that has the same difficulty as anatomy, so both should have 6 credits.

On the other hand, I have to mention that I like the use of technology that occurs at the University; since most of the classes are PPT's that the teachers share and that I will later be able to study at home, I also like the implementation of tests through U-cursos that we have used in the UTE of Destrezas II, since it is more ecological than printing so much paper.

    I like the teaching methods of all the teachers; although I have a small complaint, especially in UTE's such as anatomy and histology, since these UTE's require seeing many images and memorizing. The reason is that teachers don't usually upload the PPT's that they will use in class before teaching it, and when projecting the images they do not look as clear as they should. So, I think that each teacher (as long as he is willing to share his material) should publish the material that he will use in class before, so that the students can study it and review it.

    Regarding infrastructure, I don't have enough complaints; The bathrooms are always clean and have toilet paper and soap (unlike other faculties), the library is a nice space, there is the CEO space, where I can go to sleep, study and have lunch whenever I want. I could only mention that there are few auditoriums in the faculty, and that the casino is a very small place, so many students must choose to eat even on the stairs.

    And that's all I can say about my University, despite the defects it may have, I think they are things that can be corrected, I still love studying here, since I really like Dentistry, the teachers and spending time with the friends I have made at the University.
